EXPECTANT MOTHERS
If you are 20 weeks or more and experiencing any of the following, please proceed to Labor and Delivery:

• If you are over 37 weeks with contractions 5 minutes apart, or if you have more than 4 contractions per hour and are less than 37 weeks.
• You have not felt the baby move in the past 24 hours.
• You have heavy vaginal bleeding.
• You have a gush of fluid.

Women with less than 20 weeks may not feel movement. This is normal and an ER visit is not required. However, if you are less than 20 weeks and experience any of the aforementioned problems, please proceed to the emergency room.

LABORATORY TESTING/PROCEDURE RESULTS NOTIFICATION
All laboratory test and procedure results do not arrive back in our office for up to 12 to 14 days after the administration of the test or procedure. Thus, these results are not available for our physicians to give to the patient. If you are an OB patient, your test results will be given to you at your next visit. If there is a problem with your test results, either the physician or their assistant will call you with the results. We ask that you please do not call our office prior to this time, because we will not have the results available to give you. Be assured that your physician will either call you with your test results or a letter will be sent to you. Thanks for your cooperation in this matter.
